Evacuation of the civilian population continued throughout the Rising. The Germans forced Varsovians to leave their homes and deported them to the transit camp Dulag 121 in the town of Pruszków. Among photographs included in this category are includes are photos by Marian Grabski which show residents of Warsaw leaving City Centre South between 7 and 10 September. More photos document the first days of October right after the fall of the Rising, when the insurgents were bidding farewell to their city on their way to POW camps. You can see units departing Warsaw to captivity: the moments just before the start of their journey, as well as soldiers in leaving the capital in serried ranks. Noteworthy are numerous souvenir photos in which the insurgents pose with their comrades, many of whom they saw for the last time then.
