Volunteer Centre - About Us

Volunteering at the Warsaw Rising Museum means you want to support us in our mission to preserve the memory about the Warsaw Rising and its Heroes. Is is a relay race of generations to protect the values that the Warsaw Rising participants fought for and passed on to us, namely: Freedom, Love for the Homeland, Faith, Honour, Integrity, Camarderie, Tolerance, Serving those in need, Diligence.

Volunteers support all the departments of the Museum according to the skills, time and willingness they have. Mostly we need you to help us inside the Museum as well as for our current events and projects.

Who are our Volunteers?

  • Volunteers are a vital part of our community since 2004
  • 150 Volunteers support us on a permanent basis
  • More than 1000 volunteers are engaged at the time of each years anniversary events in July/August

Every Volunteer supporting the Museum has an individual internet calendar where they sing up for the events. It is flexible and user-friendly so every one can find their place following one’s interests, expectations and time.

Every volunteer is enrolled under the Museum’s accident insurance.

References as well as a detailed document stating one’s work record are issued upon request.

Our Volunteer Centre has a team of people who love the idea of volunteering, social engagement and who have joined the Warsaw Rising Museum not by chance. We are as diverse as the community of our volunteers. We are of different experience, personality, temperament and age.
